Service Description: Friendly calls by trained and compassionate volunteers to support socializing and alleviate sense of loneliness as well as provide connection to information and services as needed * If individuals need more support a social worker is available for brief counseling.


Services include:
A friendly weekly telephone call (available in several languages)
A weekly email message from an ePal
Access to a social worker for information, referral or brief counseling upon request

Fees: No fee required
Application: Referral for the program can be made through Central Navigation, learn more at Baycrest Admissions and Referrals
Eligibility / Target Population: Older adults over 65 experiencing social isolation or in need of emotional peer support
